My music program is about three things:
Making a personal connection,
sharing beautiful moments and reliving happy memories

"Tara is amazing! I truly appreciate how she always puts in the effort to connect with our residents at Highview. She actively engages with families, staff, and even the residents themselves to find out what songs they’d like to hear. On top of that, she makes a genuine effort to remember all of our residents’ names, adding a personal touch to her live music performances. It’s clear that she has a deep care for our residents, and her dedication shines through in everything she does. I wholeheartedly recommend booking Tara—her interactions with everyone at Highview are exceptional. Thank you, Tara, for all that you do!"

Every performance at my retirement, long term care and memory care residences are ALL REQUEST and I absolutely love learning these fabulous songs.
HERE ARE SOME FAVOURITES
Hi, my name is Tara
I'm an award winning singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist from London, Ontario. I've been a professional musician for over 25 years and while I've been fortunate enough to travel the world, playing in concert halls, festivals and theatres to thousands of people, my greatest love is sharing music with my friends in retirement, long term care and memory care residences.
There is nothing like the magic of music to bring back memories, encourage movement and human connection. The first thing I tell residents when we meet is that I want to play what they want to hear, because this is not MY show, it is theirs. We get to know each other and I find out that magic song that makes them smile. Sometimes it's through conversation, sometimes through facial and body movements as they react to what I'm playing or saying, sometimes by talking to their family members, who can share some of their loved ones' favourite songs. Whether it's a title, a singer, a band, a style of music or even a country of origin, we'll find out together what the next song will be and if I don't know it (I know A LOT of music, but not everything!) my promise is that I will learn it for next time.
I am so grateful for every moment I get to spend sharing songs and stories with my beautiful friends. As I always tell them, music is pure happiness, three minutes at a time, so lets cherish every song together.
